In 2016 I traveled to complete a knitwear certificate at Central Saint Martins in London. The course included basic to intermediate machine knitting lessons taught by Alice Wellbeloved, a respected knitwear designer with experience working for Christian Lacroix, Sonia Rykiel and Viktor and Rolf.

In November of 2017, I purchased a Knitting Machine and created 4 garments using the additive knitting technique she learned during her course. These pieces together form the softwhite knitwear collection inspired by feminine power, Renaissance armor and the inevitable crash that comes after a high.

It was affectionately called Heroine.
